Summer Outing To The Bluebell Railway 15 July 2018
15 July 2018
This year we went to the Bluebell Railway. 20 members attended along with 8 volunteers and 1 members of staff.
We travelled to and from Sheffield Park by coach which was hired from SMC Coach Hire. We set off from Dove Lodge at 10am and returned at 5pm. We had a fantastic day out, the weather was excellent. The objective for the day was firstly to give our members an enjoyable day out and to give their Carers some much-needed respite.
We enjoyed a picnic by the river then some members visited the gift shop whilst others visited the museum.
After a final visit to the gift shop we made our way back home to Littlehampton
All in all it was a good day out. Many thanks must go to all our fantastic volunteers who generously gave their leisure time, and to all who, in some way or another, made a contribution to the day.
